We've also fixed hundreds of bugs to improve your overall experience.

New Features

Complete redesign of our AI features, including a diff view that shows the changes made by the AI at the word level.

All users now have unlimited* email storage: When you create a black.com account, you start with 25GB and get an additional 2GB every year - forever.

TLS encryption for all outgoing messages is now enforced.

Push notifications are now encrypted. Contents of new emails are no longer exposed to push notification providers (Google & Apple).

Emails can now be automatically deleted after a specified time with the new label system.

A "stealth mode" allows you to disable push notifications for certain annoying senders.

Switched to the new AI model "gpt-4o".

All emails are displayed correctly in dark mode (by displaying them in light mode when certain features such as background colors are used).

More sophisticated unsubscribe and spam reporting system: Senders are now automatically blocked if the unsubscribe function is ignored by the sender.

Changes

Redesigned the forgotten password process.

Redesigned the process when the 2FA device is lost.

Added some confirmation dialogs to warn users before certain actions (e.g. before deleting the profile picture).

The user interface now automatically truncates long contact lists (e.g. when a sender CC's the email to hundreds of recipients).

Periodic password reminder popup can no longer be hidden.

Refactored and removed thousands of lines of old and unused code.
