Update November 2024

We are excited to announce two major new features in this update. black.com for Organizations expands our offering into the B2B space, and with in-app payments for our Apple app, we are also experimenting with other forms of payment to make account creation faster than ever. Here is the full list of changes: New Features black.com for Organizations: Accounts can now be created with custom domains (yourname@your-domain.com), which provides features such as centralized management of team members and shared inboxes. iOS: It is now possible to create and delete accounts from within the app using Apple's native in-app payment system. The black.com app is now available on Apple desktop devices through Catalyst. Added the ability to export all emails (as .eml files) to a .zip archive in a user-defined timeframe. The scheduled send dialog now randomly sets the minute for the predefined times "Tomorrow morning" and "Monday morning". The password reset process is now much more user-friendly and displays feedback if your reset request has been rejected by us. The process for recovering a lost two-factor device has been redesigned and is now much easier to use and understand. The prompt AI feature (for creating replies and new draft emails) has been dramatically improved. Added the option to navigate to the email label folder from the Add Email Label context menu. Changes The sidebar has received a visual update for a cleaner and more minimalist look. When an email conversation that was previously auto-deleted by the filtering system is recovered, it will no longer be auto-deleted again. Notifications can now be swiped away more easily on touch screen devices. Added an auto-delete indicator icon to email messages, not just conversations. The sender name is now displayed in the top bar when viewing a conversation with an empty subject. Renamed Trusted Devices to Two-Factor Devices to avoid confusion for some users. Pending two-factor authentication devices are now automatically approved when users successfully log in with them. Improved and translated several error messages throughout the application. Bug Fixes Fixed a critical XSS vulnerability in attachment preview. Fixed a problem where searching for an email address incorrectly split the search term, resulting in too many results. Fixed problem where certain conversations were not deleted from the trash after 30 days. Corrected a problem where emails with special characters in the address could be sent and later get stuck in the send queue. Fixed issue where sidebar would close on mobile devices, when closing a popup. Fixed a problem where the account was in a payment failed state that could not be resolved by the user.
